THE OPPORTUNITY/DUTIES

• Assist with directing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of student behavior management plans and school wide behavior management protocols.
• Assist with implementing any accompanying social emotional learning programs and activities under the direction of the building principal and superintendent in accordance with district policies and procedures with assistance from other identified staff and staff support personnel.
• Teach classes as directed by principal/superintendent.
• Teach college and career resource training lessons for grades 8-12.
• Primarily responsible for college advising, visits, and scholarship application procedures for seniors in conjunction with senior teaching team.
• Responsible for implementing district programs, policies and procedures as outlined in the district handbook.
• Assist and support of teachers with behavior management and classroom routines for student success.

LOCATION
Days Creek Charter School is a small, pleasant school in rural Days Creek, Oregon, approximately 40 minutes from Roseburg, Oregon. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about student success, enjoy collaboration, and are interested in being a part of a small school family.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of behavioral approaches for teaching new skills
• Desire and ability to work with a team of professional educators in a small/rural school.
• Experience working with diverse groups.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas orally or in writing, so others will understand.
• Ability to exhibit professionalism and effective human relations.
• Standard First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification within two months of hire, may be required.
• A positive role model for the school/community.
