Douglas Development Cor is Hiring a Project Accountant Near Washington, DC

Position Purpose

The Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.

General Responsibilities

The Accountant reports directly to the Controller and will work closely with the Lease Accounting, Accounts Payable, Construction and Property Management departments. General duties would consist of posting monthly accruals, preparing asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Other responsibilities include summarizing current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other reports. Must substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents, reconcile financial discrepancies and prepare special financial reports by collecting and analyzing account information. 

General Qualifications

The accountant must be proficient in Accounting, Corporate Finance and reporting. An Accounting Degree is required. Must pay attention to detail and be very detail oriented. This position also requires Confidentiality, Time Management, Data Entry Management, General Math Skills, and must be Self-motivated. Other qualifications include computer skills and must be fully capable with all applications of Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets.
