Douglas Brooke Legacy Capital (DBL Capital) is Hiring a Bilingual Plumbing Supervisor Near Cape Coral, FL

Trinity Building and Design, a division of Douglas Brooke Legacy, a local Cape Coral Contractor is in need of a Bilingual Plumbing Superintendent to join their team. Individuals must have a clean and current driver's license. Opportunity for a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
Position Summary.The Superintendent Provides overall on-site administrative and technical management of plumbing on all Plumbing construction project sites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise plumbing construction efforts to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with the design, within budget, and on schedule. Includes working with the GC, client representatives, and other contractors, when necessary.
  • Planned, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and provide day-to-day direction of onsite plumbing staff in conjunction with the Plumbing Manager.
  • Supervise, train, motivate, hold accountable, provide disciplinary action, and overall management of all Plumbing Foremen and plumbing field staff.
  • Ensure that all Plumbing Foremen are reporting productivity correctly and in a timely fashion set by company policy. Review productivity logs weekly with the foreman and makes adjustments as required to keep the project on track.
  • Ensure that all Plumbing Foremen are coordinating their installation with all trades to prevent wasted manpower, materials, or poor representation to our customers.
  • Supervise thru Foremen the plumbing craft employees and/or other subcontractors as required.
  • Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required and necessary to the plumbing manager & plumbing craft employees.
  • Assist plumbing manager in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, scheduling, manpower projections, etc.
  • Ensure thru foremen all onsite plumbing personnel complies with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management and recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
  • Assume responsibility for the productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project as it relates to the plumbing craft.
  • Represents the company in project meetings as required.
  • Procures, manages, supervises, and schedules field resources related to plumbing.
  • Review daily quality control with the foreman.
  • Work with the foreman to requisition supplies and materials as needed to complete the project.
  • Allow proper time for long-lead items.
  • Perform interviews, field employee evaluations, and disciplinary action when required in relation to the plumbing manpower.
  • Initiates and maintains relationships with contractors/subcontractors to facilitate project activities.
  • Effectively communicates to the Plumbing Manager and makes presentations as to how the project is developing.
  • Provides weekly report to the Plumbing Manager.
  • Represent the company professionally in all matters thru effective communication, proper attire, and appearance.
  • Assists to ensure competent and complete submittals for plumbing scope.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by the Plumbing Manager.
  • Must work as a team member when involved with other departments of the Company.
Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Eight years of experience in the commercial plumbing construction industry, five of which were at a level of foreman or higher.
  • Current plumbing certification.
  • Mechanical knowledge of plumbing machinery and tools.
  • Mathematical skills, including application and use in problem-solving.
  • Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities in relation to the plumbing trade.
  • Expert level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations with tact, diplomacy, influence, and sensitivity.
  • Demonstrate group presentation skills, and phone and e-mail etiquette.
  • Ability to use significant independent judgments.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
  • Proficient use of Company software.
  • Plan interpretation/CAD files/BIM modeling if applicable.
  • Clean driving record.
Pay- $35-$50 Hourly
