DOUGH IS HIRING A RESTAURANT MANAGER, who has a minimum of 3 years consistent experience working as a Restaurant Manager in a full-service restaurant and is knowledgeable about wine and proper wine service, as well as craft cocktail execution.
Please note: We are interested in applicants that live in the San Antonio area or are willing to relocate at their own expense.
WHO YOU WILL REPORT TO: Operations Manager
The Restaurant Manager works with the FOH/BOH managers by overseeing and coordinating the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
•Customer relations: you must be comfortable going table-to-table talking with guests
•Staff development: including hiring, training, performance management, documentation, coaching, and scheduling
•Floor supervision and expediting: assist FOH/BOH staff with tasks: bussing, food running, serving, prepping, expediting
•Ensure proper cash handling and financial reconciliation
•Keeping labor cost in line with budget
•Maintenance of all operational standards
•Budgeting and inventory of wine, beer, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and essential supplies
•Support business controls and budget
•Follow up on all catering leads from the initial conversation to the execution of the event
•Work closely with other front and back of the house managers
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
•Minimum of 3 years of restaurant management in a full service restaurant
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, scheduling applications and industry related POS programs
•Excellent communication skills: which include oral, written and active listening
•Work a 5-day work week with a varied schedule including nights and weekends
•Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time; lift 50 pounds without assistance
•Ability to open and serve bottles of wine
•Ability to make and serve craft cocktails
•Ability to carry plates, glassware, silverware, etc.
