```Job Summary```
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and budgeting. Proficiency in Xero and experience with governmental accounting are highly desired.

```Responsibilities```
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Oversee the general ledger reconciliation process
- Perform detailed account analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
- Prepare budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations, including SOX requirements

```Qualifications```
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification preferred)
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
