Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and organized Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and materials. Responsibilities: - Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of drivers and vehicles for timely deliveries - Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery - Collaborate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure efficient logistics operations - Utilize GIS (Geographic Information System) software to optimize routes and minimize transportation costs - Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including data entry of shipment details - Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates on delivery status - Assist with supply chain management by monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with suppliers - Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during transportation operations Skills: - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Knowledge of fleet management principles and practices - Proficiency in transportation planning and logistics operations - Experience with GIS software for route optimization is a plus - Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of supply chain management processes is beneficial If you are a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for logistics, we encourage you to apply.
