In recent years, Double Good has seen 40% year over year growth, and we’re excited about our future! We’re excited about the possibility of you joining our mission. We are looking for a Training Manager to join our growing People Team. 

The role of the Training manager will be based out of the Burr Ridge and Elmhurst (IL) facilities and will be tasked with developing, planning and executing Double Good’s training strategy. The role will be accountable for leading organizational learning programs that address cross functional business needs. The role will have to identify and assess the learning needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths, and consultation with Subject Matter Experts and Department managers., compliance training and new technologies collaborating closely with all internal stakeholders.

This role will be based out of our Elmhurst facility 5 days/week and require occasional travel to our Burr Ridge, IL and downtown Chicago office locations. 

About the role:

  • Develop holistic strategy for training at DG delivering best in class programs via KPI rooted prioritized initiatives to meet current and planned requirements of a rapidly growing organization
  • Create energy and engagement around workplace training at all levels of the organization
  • Direct all training and development activities to ensure they are conducted efficiently and in accordance with organizational policy and standards
  • Analyze and identify the training and development needs of the organization 
  • Define and align team on appropriate LMS requirements in order to implement across organization
  • Develop, deliver, evaluate training programs and curriculum in order for the skills and performance of team members meets the organization’s requirements
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to develop and implement training courses and programs that are appropriate for their business needs and consistent with the overall training strategy 
  • Support efforts and oversee the deployment of standardized onboarding for leadership, operations, and technical roles in alignment with business priorities 
  • Develop manufacturing training structure through training needs analysis utilized to identify and prioritize gaps across organization 
  • Lead the change management process to ensure consistent adoption of training courses, processes and tools across the organization 
  • Select and manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and training providers
  • Stay current on developments and innovations in training and education in the Manufacturing, Technical and Brand Industry sectors in order to maintain the organizations training activities relevant
  • Identifies and apply for Local, State, and Federal Training Grants and Funds to offset training costs
  • Oversees site technical skills development programs for operators and skilled trades
  • Develops and manages Training Matrices, Competency Matrices, Training/Learning Plans, and Training Documentation in support of site training requirements
  • Assesses and monitors the effectiveness of all learning and development initiatives against predefined metrics
  • Providing training, coaching, and assessments in support of factory training systems
  • Partners with managers to assess and analyze learning needs based on performance, talent planning and needs assessment data
  • Implements standard templates, training standards, digital tools to ensure facility is aligned to overall strategic direction 
  • Provides expertise in training needs assessment, training design, adult learning strategies/delivery, post-training evaluations 

Experience & Skills we value:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Business, or related field
  • 10 years’ leadership experience developing and implementing training and learning strategies in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment at the regional level
  • Position to be on site at a minimum of 4 days per week. 
  • Factory or Distribution Center training experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing setting, at times working varied hours and shifts
  • Strong verbal, written, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Confidence and ability to interact with various people across departmental lines to achieve goals
  • Self-starter with ability to multitask and prioritize while meeting deadlines
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Highly creative, innovative, and motivated
  • Self-motivated problem solver with time and project management experience
  • Customer orientation and commitment to flawless execution
  • Experience with technical training programs in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with learning management solutions and/or the use of databases to support training and skill progression
  • Experience coaching and developing teams
  • Proven change management capabilities
  • Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other programs required.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus
