EMC Mechanical Services is looking for a Commercial Pipe Welder to join our team! A Pipe Welder for Special Projects is responsible for all of the welding required for a project. This position needs to be able to read and understand drawings and scale.

What You’ll Do:

• Weld pipe, duct, and structural steel.
• Assist Pipe Fitters, Plumbers, and other trades when not welding.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

• Must be able to produce or immediately obtain a 6G Weld Certification upon hire.
• Able to weld stainless steel duct, black iron, MIG, TIG, etc.
• 5 years experience as a Pipe Welder.
• Experience in Pipe Fitting is preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification or higher is required.

• Can effectively work under minimal supervision, alone or in a team setting, with other Pipe Welders and Pipe Fitters.
• Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
