We are seeking a Legal Assistant in the Regulatory Affairs Department in our Salt Lake City office. In successfully serving clients’ needs for many years, our experienced team of Regulatory Affairs attorneys provide a full range of legal services associated with the broad range of environmental, natural resource and energy issues.
In this role, you will:
  • Provide support to a combination of several timekeepers which may include partners, associates and paralegals.
  • Prepare, edit and electronically file pleadings, etc.
  • Communicate and work with clients.
  • Perform document production, including creating, revising and editing documents and finalizing format and style in compliance with appropriate requirements.
  • Prepare documents for mailing, scanning, faxing; manage files and client contact databases.
  • Assist with reviewing daily docket and coordinating with attorneys and paralegals on upcoming dates and deadlines for filings.
  • Assist timekeepers with time entries for tracking of attorneys’ and paralegals’ billable hours.
  • Assist with billing and invoicing.
  • May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above.
What we’re looking for:
  • At least 4 years of related legal assistant experience.
  • Knowledge of litigation and trial procedures, including ECF and Green Filing (federal and state) electronic court filing programs.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Strong proofreading and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong customer service focus and skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks at one time, and perform well in stressful situations.
  • Ability to use good judgment in solving problems and resolving conflict.
  • Occasional flexibility with schedule (overtime may be required) and excellent attendance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
