Doorby Property Management is Hiring a Leasing Consultant Near Chattanooga, TN
Leasing Consultant Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft property listings, including written property descriptions and multimedia elements
- Market available properties on multiple marketing platforms, including our website and Facebook Marketplace
- Respond directly to listing inquiries from prospective tenants by phone call, texts, and email
- Demonstrate understanding of federal Fair Housing regulations and federal and state non-discrimination laws; apply this understanding to evaluate and process tenant applications for Doorby
- Perform background checks, credit checks, and other due diligence to qualify prospective tenants
- Explain the leasing process and property-specific details to prospective tenants, including security deposits and application fees, background check and other qualification concerns
- Implement task tracking method to ensure consistent and timely follow-up with prospective tenants to drive a leasing decision
- Schedule property tours
- Draft lease agreements for Doorby
- Communicate leasing status reports to property owners and recommend rental rate adjustments and capital improvements
- Onboard new tenants to Doorby’s systems with our online Tenant Portal
- Conduct pre-listing property inspections
- Coordinate with Doorby’s Cleaning and Maintenance departments to resolve issues during the listing period
Leasing Consultant Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to use appropriate discretion and sound judgment to evaluate tenant applications with reference to Federal Fair Housing regulations and federal and state non-discrimination laws
- Competency to understand basic credit reports and background checks to evaluate tenant applications
- Marketing skills to create property listings
- Philosophy of client-service
- Google G-Suite experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma, with an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
