Done Right Chimney is Hiring a Chimney Sweep Technician Apprentice Near Williamsburg, MA
A Chimney Sweep is expected be able to perform all job functions related to the inspection, servicing and maintenance of a chimney system. The Chimney Sweep would be expected to obtain related Certifications upon hire if not presently Certified, with the assistance of the company.
Most common job functions include:
Most common job functions include:
- Inspecting chimneys.
- Sweeping chimneys.
- Relining flues.
- Job site set up/break down.
- Along with performing a variety of masonry tasks from repointing to rebuilding with instruction and support.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience. This includes some Building Construction, Masonry Construction, Chimney Sweep, or Pellet Stove Technician.
- Driver’s License is required.
- Minimal criminal background, and able to pass a drug screening upon hire.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, with seldom Saturdays.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and carry up to 80lbs.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, on ladders, and scaffolding is a must.
- Remain on your feet for extended periods of time.
Job Type:
- Full-time.
- 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, with options for overtime and Saturday hours.
