Done Right Chimney is Hiring a Chimney Sweep Apprentice (FT) Near Williamsburg, MA
A chimney sweep assistant is expected to assist the Chimney Sweep.
Most common job functions include:
Most common job functions include:
- assisting in inspecting chimneys,
- sweeping chimneys,
- relining flues,
- job site set up/break down,
- along with performing a variety of masonry tasks from repointing to rebuilding.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience is a bonus! This includes some Building Construction, Masonry Construction, Chimney Sweep experience, or Pellet Stove Technician.
- Driver’s License is required.
- Minimal criminal background, and able to pass a drug screening upon hire.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and carry up to 80lbs
- Ability to work at elevated heights, on ladders, and scaffolding
- Remain on your feet for extended periods of time.
Job Type:
- Full-time
- 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, with options for overtime and Saturday hours.
