POSITION SUMMARY: The individual assists in advancing the mission of the congregation by cultivating relationships with both large and small donors and by utilizing the Blackbaud CRM suite to maintain donor and development-related information and identify new fundraising and revenue opportunities. A successful candidate will have fundraising experience, including relationship management and supervision of giving campaigns.
Education Bachelor’s degree in related field
Requirements:
· Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and major gift solicitation.
· Familiarity with religious non-profit organizations and their unique fundraising dynamics.
· Ability to understand and communicate the mission of the Congregation and its ministries.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding donor information and Congregation business.
· Blackbaud literacy and experience with donor management software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Major Activity:Annual Giving Programs
· Assist in design and implementation of annual giving campaigns.
Major Activity:Bequest Program
· Assist in design and implementation of a comprehensive bequest program.
· Cultivate relationships with individuals interested in leaving a legacy through bequests.
Major Activity: Manage development database
· Gather, clean, and maintain donor and development-related information utilizing existing tools and database(s) to streamline development efforts.
· Analyze and mine development data/database to support and augment development activities; create, maintain, and revise ideal profiles to direct fundraising efforts towards best potential donors and funding sources.
· Utilize data-driven methods to identify new classes of potential revenue streams.
· Support new fundraising efforts and campaigns.
· Train and support team members in utilizing Blackbaud tools effectively.
Major Activity: Donor Cultivation
· In cooperation with Director and leadership team, build and maintain relationships with large donors, small donors, and potential benefactors.
· In cooperation with ministry leaders, develop strategies to engage donors and align their interests with the organization's mission.
