Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher and Substitute teachers to join our team. As a Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds and futures of our students. You will create a positive and nurturing learning environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Create engaging and interactive learning experiences for students
- Provide instruction in agriculture and gardening including but not limited to math and science.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and active participation
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and encourage student engagement
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational programs and initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Stay updated on current educational trends, teaching methods, and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to develop and implement engaging curriculum
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with special needs or English language learners
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes
