Science Teacher
Teacher Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school
- Assess student progress on a regular basis
- Plan lessons in a logical sequence
- Teach rules of conduct and maintain order in the classroom
- Collaborate with other educators to create the complete educational environment possible for students
- Counsel students when adjustment and academic problems arise
- Discuss students’ academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents
- Keep attendance and grade records as required by school
- Demonstrate an appreciation for diversity among students, colleagues, and parents
Teacher Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from a Regionally Accredited College or University
- Must have teaching license in the proper content area, or meet the North Carolina eligibility requirements for alternative licensure in the proper content area
