Accounting Clerk 

Classification Non-Exempt

Job Summary: Accurately enter transactions into the accounting systems. Assist with day-to-day recording of financial transactions.

Essential Functions

• Maintain and make necessary adjustments to records.
• Verify and reconcile accounting transactions.
• Balance entries and make necessary corrections.
• Post debits/credits to proper accounts.
• Verify amounts and coding on documents for accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Associate degree in accounting preferred
• Previous Accounting experience required.
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
•  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Must be self-motivated. 

Physical Requirement

• Sitting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, standing, walking, typing, talking, and hearing.

 Environmental Conditions

• This position will be in an air-conditioned office but may be required to conduct business outdoors with customers as needed.
