DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Program Analyst to join our Phoenix, AZ team. At DNV, we strive to make a difference every single day. Our Phoenix office helps businesses and multifamily communities understand their energy use and utilize more clean energy. The successful candidate will provide analytical support for our utility-led energy efficiency rebate and EV programs, DNV team and client by collecting, analyzing and reporting program data. This role will also serve as the programs main point of contact with IT teams to manage, improve and test program databases.

Ideally, the candidate is based in Phoenix, but remote option will be considered for the right candidate.

What Youll Do

  • Compile and analyze program- and project-level data such as energy savings, rebates and application status
  • Perform quality control on program databases
  • Develop dashboards, reporting and spreadsheets with accompanying detailed data dictionaries for internal, client and regulatory submissions
  • Identify and create specifications for database improvements
  • Develop reports, processes, graphs and dashboards to track key program performance metrics, including forecasting energy savings, tracking budgets and client invoices
  • Develop, streamline, document and automate energy efficiency and EV program processes
  • Support critical analysis of program data to identify operational and data anomalies and exceptions
  • Quickly translate data into internal, client and management presentations
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic data analysis projects to support business objectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytical goals and metrics for success
  • Oversee the creation of data models and visualizations to enhance decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Serve as a liaison between business units, local team, client, evaluation team and the analytics team
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and relevance of analytical outputs
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes with analytics deliverables

As required by the Pay Transparency laws in Colorado, New York City, California, Washington, and Connecticut, DNV provides a reasonable compensation range for roles that may be hired in those locations. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the states of Colorado, New York City, NY, California, Washington, and Connecticut only, the range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 - $115,000.

What is Required

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Analytics, or related field is required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience compiling and analyzing data and producing data-intensive reports
  • Minimum 3 years leading successful analytical projects
  • Prior experience in analytics research inclusive of market analysis, market assessment and market segmentation
  • Experience with SalesForce and CRM
  • Ability to translate business needs and provide recommendations based on data visualization and data analysis
  • A proven and demonstrable grasp of data analysis tools such as Power BI, Oracle, SQL and similar
  • Experience with server or equivalent data visualization tools
  • Proven experience with financial evaluation models including NPV, ROI, IRR and net payback
  • Proven experience with data reconciliation applications (e.g., month-end accounting reconciliations, accruals, inventory reconciliations, etc.)
  • Prior project experience developing IT business requirements and/or overseeing complex database management system projects
  • Prior project experience on data mining and/or analytics initiatives
  • Expert proficiency with Excel including of pivot tables, data management tools and advanced formulas and functions
  • Proven experience in SQL and Power BI programming
  • Intermediate experience in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. Experience in MS Power Automate a plus
  • Must be flexible, able to prioritize work assignments, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven experience with industry-standard data visualization tools and methodologies
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in time-critical situations
  • Positive, collaborative and team-oriented attitude
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening

What is Preferred

  • Masters degree in Business, Analytics, or related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of sustainability, energy efficiency or EV experience strongly preferred
