Job purpose

Support a 24/7 manufacturing facility and is responsible for all aspects of the Maintenance Department. This includes managing a program that ensures all assets including production equipment, and support equipment. Develop and manage a team; identify and manage an annual budget to align with actual production volume, and work with plant leadership to maintain established KPIs.

Duties and responsibilities

• Manages, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines, engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, and coaching and training.
• Collaborates with the plant leadership team to ensure Annual Business Plan goals and other KPIs are achieving targets and develops and implements action plans to correct below-target performance measures by actively participating in Meetings, Management Reviews, and Audits
• Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for the execution of maintenance work.
• Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
• Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
• Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Implement workplace safety policies and standards.
• Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or facility management preferred.
• Minimum experience of 5 years in a supervisory role
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Possess a strong understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers, PLC Networking, Hydraulics, Electrical
• Advanced skill level in project management
• Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
• Effective communication and people management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Technical knowledge of automated production machine equipment and maintenance required.
• Must be able to work from blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to use common precision measurement gages, multimeters, and basic machine shop equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role would supervise all production maintenance technicians.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours
• Must be able to push/pull/ lift at least 45 lbs. individually and 50 lbs. with the help of a team member
• Must be able to use, handle, and manipulate items and materials, including hazardous materials, with proper material handling equipment/tools.
• Must be able to work in an office setting, and spend partial working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.
• Must complete 24/40-hour HazWoper Training and be medically qualified to wear respiratory protection

Safety Requirements

• Physically able to pass spirometry exam for test fitting of respiratory equipment.
• Ability to wear required PPE (including safety glasses, gloves (nitrile, canvas, etc.), hearing protection, ANSI-approved footwear, and others as required.) in any manufacturing area.
• Ability to wear required PPE if in any manufacturing area.

The hiring range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
