**Description**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsible for performing annual reviews of existing insurance policies in effort to conserve the business. Offers replacement quotes or recommends policy changes on existing policy. Meets or exceeds individual sales goals established by Management.
Identifies customer insurance needs to resolve routine problems and recommend coverages and additional product lines.
Assists members with writing new insurance applications. Responds to correspondence from insurance companies and insureds regarding new and existing policies, including billing, endorsements and claims.
Interprets policy language and billing to Insureds and Lenders.
Assists Agency by looking for cross-sale opportunities.
Manages Agency Management System database. Prints, files and/or images company download documents. Maintains agency & insurance company manuals.
Acts within the Agency Policy & Procedure and Underwriting Guidelines of the represented companies to minimize errors and omissions.
Ensures that the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding the Credit Union and its members and employees are held to the highest level of business ethics.
Maintains individual book of business in Agency Management System, regularly including notes on every contact.
Attends job-specific training classes as requested by manager. Completes annual BSA/AML compliance training and understands employees role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program, and completes FACT Act Red Flag training.
**Minimum Education, Experience and Skill Requirements**
High school diploma or equivalent.
2 or more years customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
Florida 20-44 Property & Casualty Personal Lines Agent License required within 6 months of hire date and continuing education requirements must be maintained.
Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized. Able to resolve routine problems and situations.
Basic knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures pertinent to the job.
Basic knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
Basic knowledge and understanding of all Credit Union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties.
Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators. Able to communicate information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
Work is closely supervised.
