About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a Senior Java Developer

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for creating maintainable, adaptable, scalable, defect free code using software development best practices and coding standards. He/she will support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements.

Ensure the quality of software deliverables, continuous improvement and communicate with the development teams what is required to achieve effectively on tasks.

Understand requirements developed with the stakeholders, create work breakdown structures of the requirements, assign tasks to junior developers, and provide mentorship to the team. Work in conjunction with the Scrum Master to manage the backlog of activities and the sprints. 

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5 or more years of professional experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: 

• Deep Experience with Java and J2EE
• Experience with Online Transaction Processing
• Experience with managing source control through Subversion or Git
• Experience with working with XML / JSON / flat files
• Experience with Web Services
• Experience with Linux
• Deep Experience with Solaris SPARC Systems
• Shell scripting knowledge and experience
• Writing multi-threaded applications
• Experience with developing for High Availability / Disaster Resilient software

Software Requirements:

• Oracle Fusion experience is required
• Oracle WebLogic experience is required
• Oracle Database experience is nice to have
• WebMux or F5 Load Balancing experience is nice to have
