About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking an experienced QA Manager to support all technical aspects of a platform implementation and operations and maintenance project. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine overall testing approach, priorities, and execution
  • Ensure visibility, traceability, and control of testing process to deliver high-quality software across all application functions/components
  • Operate in SAFe Agile approach to support testing needs
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the functional lead and business analysts to understand business requirements
  • Create software quality management plan and test plans; define the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery
  • Provide testing resource planning and management, and resolution of issues that impede the testing effort
  • Oversee automation, performance and penetration testing
  • Monitor test execution across all work tracks ensuring the quality and reliability of application functions/components
  • Apply the appropriate test measurements and metrics to monitor/track progress
  • Review results and report problems and anomalies
  • Ensure software testing is done on-time and as planned and notify the PMO and stakeholders about bottlenecks and other issues and risks
  • Review User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and provide coaching/guidance to testers as needed
  • Provide oversight in defect triage meetings
  • Report Weekly status to the Project Manager on testing progress

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar
  • 10 years' experience with six years of experience in mid-scale or large-scale system development projects (including using test automation, test strategy, developing and executing test plans)
  • 5 years system and software engineering or equivalent role.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in quality assurance concepts and best practices
  • Familiarity with defect management tools (HP ALM, Bugzilla, JIRA etc.)
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Familiar with UAT processes and collaborating with the business stakeholders on UAT process
  • Experience working in AWS or cloud computing environment
  • Experience working with automation testing tools
  • Familiar with performance, penetration and 508 testing
