About the Opportunity

As a Hardware Asset Management Analyst, you will support Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The successful candidate has experience performing asset management functions. The person in this role shall be responsible for supporting hardware audits, physical asset verification, asset custodianship, and help develop process improvement and automation documentation. The “right fit” candidate must have experience receiving IT equipment, including logging, storing it securely, and conducting periodic inventories, to include equipment distributions. Support will also include tracking asset utilization and ensuring assets not-in-use are recovered, inventoried, relocated, or disposed of in accordance with policies and procedures. Potentials must be able to manage and configure asset scanners, manage ServiceNow hardware asset data; to include building reports on ServiceNow hardware assets, and ensuring on-time delivery of equipment.

Primary Requirements

  • Must be an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certified Forklift Operator.
  • Must have one of the following certifications:
    • Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Specialist Certification (ITAM)
    • Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
  • ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM)
  • Ability to manage hardware assets in ServiceNow (SNOW)
  • Creating and updating hardware assets and CIs (e.g., processes, asset states, device details, hardware models, hardware model categories, CI classes)
    • Managing the lifecycle of an asset in ServiceNow
    • Supporting Asset Requests, Receiving Assets, Disposing assets
  • Automating asset population into ServiceNow (e.g., import and update sets, process, transform maps, complex imports)
  • Supporting physical asset audits (e.g., FISMA)
  • Implementing hardware asset management (e.g., best practices)
  • Automating hardware asset lifecycle with HAM (e.g., goals, asset flows and asset tasks, processes, standard flows, customizing flows, asset actions)
  • Automating stock management in ITSM Asset Management and HAM (e.g., from warehouses, from vendors, configuring stock rules, bulk stock orders)
  • Managing hardware assets and CIs in ServiceNow (e.g., asset and CI data synchronization, enforcing CI verification, asset tracking, tracking strategies)
  • Using Discovery, CMDB, and Normalization Data Services (NDS) to provide trustworthy data.
  • Managing inventory and stock (e.g., tracking, transfer orders, stock rules)
  • Automating asset inventory with HAM (e.g., Mobile Asset Inventory Audit, process, creating audits, scanning assets, reviewing assets, completing audits)Managing asset retirement (e.g., asset states, process (manual and automated), workflows)
  • Generating asset reports for IT Asset Management (e.g., available reports, process, customizing)
  • Using HAM Hardware Asset Manager dashboards (e.g., purpose, process, data available)
  • Proven ability to work in a large and matrixed corporate environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical actions to a non-technical audience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be able to work onsite (this is not a remote position)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR In absence of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required.
  • 3 years’ experience with ServiceNow ITSM platform, especially with Asset Management and Configuration Management Databases (AMDB & CMDB) and ServiceNow Discovery.
  • 3 years’ experience automating and streamlining HAM processes
  • MS Excel capabilities with formulas such Vlookup and Pivot tables
