The Accounts Receivable Specialist will oversee operations and activities related to accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cash receipts, conducting prompt audits of bank deposits, resolving payment issues, and ensuring resident ledger accuracy at move-in, during lease terms, and at move-out.

• AppFolio experience a plus
• Professional interpersonal skills
• 1-3 years experience in property management workflows
• Demonstrates excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, creative team environment.
• Strong accounting skills a plus

What you are great at: (Responsibilities)

• Process on-site transfer requests from community managers within 24 hours.
• Verify and process refunds or forfeits within 30 days of move-out.
• Record and audit HAP money for proper application.
• Perform move-in cancellations as requested by managers and AVPs.
• Reconcile monthly rents for CORP offices and follow up on missing payments.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks/projects.
• Support Property Accounting with bank reconciliation for various property types.
• Perform weekly resident ledger audits to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with third-party collection companies regarding outstanding debts.
• Prepare and deposit transfer checks to assist with bank statement reconciliation.
• Perform bank deposits for funds received at the corporate office and for other properties.
• Verify and process approved credit requests for multifamily assets and other portfolios.
