DLA, LLC is seeking a Senior Manager (or Director) with expertise in financial reporting valuations to provide a broad range of valuations services for both privately held and publicly traded clients, including, but not limited to:?

• Purchase price allocations related to business combinations (ASC 805)?
• Fair value measurements (ASC 820)?
• Stock-based compensation (ASC 718)?
• Goodwill & other intangibles impairment analysis (ASC 350 & ASC 360)?
• Embedded derivatives or bifurcation of convertible securities (ASC 815)?

The Senior Manager will be expected to use their expertise to analyze valuation issues efficiently and provide well-documented reports to auditors and other reviewers. He/she will also assist with the expansion of DLA’s financial reporting valuation service offering by helping identify and win new valuation engagements.

This hybrid role can be aligned to any one of our New York City, New Jersey, Boston, or Chicago offices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute all financial reporting valuation projects for clients as the Accounting Advisory practice’s Valuation SME
• Elevate the DLA brand by demonstrating thought leadership and embracing our marketing and sales programs
• Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of expanding DLA’s Valuation practice by acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue for the Firm
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of financial reporting valuation concepts to support Firm initiatives and development opportunities with internal knowledge sharing and panel discussions
• Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverables
• Support the growth and development of team members, helping these individuals meet their professional goals.

Knowledge & Skills?

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting; masters or advanced degree is desirable
• CPA and ASA, ABV or CVA preferred
• 7-10 years related experience in public accounting and/or management consulting, with a concentration in life sciences, healthcare, biotech, retail, manufacturing/distribution, and software industries preferred
• Professional services experience required
• Strong valuation skills and a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Above average written and verbal communication skills with experience producing and delivering communications to the executive level? and Board of Directors
• Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable with commitment to quality client service
• Interpersonal skills to interact in a team environment and foster client relationships
• Actively participates in firm marketing and business development with demonstrated ability to acquire new business and increase brand recognition
• Strong computer proficiency, specifically with MS Office.
