Dixie Electric, Plumbing & Air is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk Near Montgomery, AL

We are growing and looking for a full-time accounts receivable clerk with integrity and professionalism to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama.

Who You are:

  • You have great communication and strong customer service skills.

What You will be responsible for:
  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Identifies delinquent customer accounts, contacts delinquent customers to request payment, schedule follow-up with customer while logging all correspondence with customers. 
  • Monitors accounts receivable and cash receipt reports.
  • Maintains and updates customer files and relays changes of information to appropriate employees. 
  • Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the staff.
  • Attend scheduled meetings with management regarding delinquent customer accounts. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time-efficiency, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs, service titan experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
  • Passion for helping others. Present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude at all times. 
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • At least five years related experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
