Division 5 Metalworks is a structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabricator located in Kalamazoo, MI. We are looking for a motivated, cooperative, and VERY detail-oriented individual to join our team. We value a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and believe in creating a fun and dynamic work environment.

Candidate will be instrumental in launching shop management software and assist in achieving AISC certification.

This position can be either part-time or full-time.

Duties will include:

• Assist estimator and project managers in various tasks.
• Retrieve and organize bid information.
• Communicate details with subcontractors, material suppliers and customers.
• Process project details through shop management software (Tekla PowerFab, SDSD/2, ProNest, BendTech, Delem and Steel Projects).
• Print and organize drawings for shop use.
• Maintain project schedules and keep team informed of important dates.
• Help in completing accurate and timely billings to our customers.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in metal fabrication, construction and/or engineering industry preferred.
• Familiarity with architectural drawings.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Proficiency in shop management software and modeling tools is a plus.
• Competence in CAD & drawing management.
