Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a mental health related field or a qualifying bachelor's degree with three years of experience in childcare, two of which requires trauma experience.

Training and Experience: Sufficient previous counseling experience, preferably with adolescents.

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers has been providing award-winning, specialized residential and outpatient treatment programs for children, adolescents, and their families since 1991. Our residential treatment programs in central Pennsylvania offer an intimate, welcoming environment for us to provide innovative treatment to those in need. We help those who have experienced emotional, physical, and sexual abuse and trauma. DTAC
also provides treatment for those who exhibit sexual behavior problems in an intensive, solution-focused treatment process.

Duties:

Assume primary care of youths assigned to caseload.

Develop and implement a treatment plan that addresses the needs of the youth with input from the youth, family, referring agency, and Clinical Coordinator. All goals/objectives are to be realistic, obtainable, and measurable.

Conduct individual counseling sessions with primary clients at least weekly and with all youth as needed.

Develop and facilitate group therapy as designated by Clinical Coordinator.

Provide for the health, safety, security, and appropriate social interaction and social behavior of all youth in placement.

Facilitate family sessions and maintain appropriate communication with significant parties.

Maintain professional documentation duties, i.e. court reports, taskwork, discharge summaries, individual and family notes, log entries, incident reports, progress notes, treatment plans and TPRs and clinical testing.

You must be at least 21 years old. Ability to obtain Act 33 clearances, Criminal History and FBI Act 73 clearances. A valid driver's license is required. Ability to pass Safe Crisis Management is also required.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
