DISTRICT HEALTH DEPARTMENT 10 is Hiring a Public Health Educator Near Mason, OH

District Health Department #10 seeks a full-time Public Health Educator for
Administration/Regional Planning Department. This position will be based in either Wexford,
Mecosta, Newaygo, Oceana, Mason, or Manistee County.
Duties:

  • Works in partnership with the Accreditation Team and the Deputy Health Officer to

support accreditation, administrative initiatives and agency plans including

workforce development and strategic plan; responsible for supporting and

expanding the agency’s Public Health Internship Program.

  • Supports Communications Team and Regional Planning Team.
  • Provides lead role for agency outreach initiative in partnership with agency

leadership teams.

  • Seeks and accepts guidance from others to acquire higher levels of competency

and improved outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education or public health related degree; successful

completion of participatory internship preferred.

  • One-two years’ experience in public health promotion, and/or media, marketing or

outreach preferred.

  • Advanced understanding of public health fundamentals.
  • Professional CHES Certification preferred.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong written & oral

communication, and excellent public speaking skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail required.
  • Strong technology skills and project planning skills.
  • Ability to work with key community stakeholders building strong referral networks
