Job Duties:

• Develops, maintains, and manages DSI’s Security Program and initiatives.
• Provides support for all facility and personnel security functions in accordance with the National Industrial Security Procedures Operating Manual (NISPOM).
• Serves as the principal point of contact to the Defense Security Service (DSS) for personnel and facility security matters.
• Advises senior management of Federal security regulations and procedures and will routinely interact with Federal agencies to address personnel security concerns
• Consistently and accurately reviews, responds to, and processes all security paperwork and systems for accuracy, completion, and submission.
• Training materials, visit requests, new / re-investigations, audit materials, DD-254’s, SF-312, SF-86, etc.
• Administers and creates training as per the National Industrial Security Manual. Ensures compliance and tracks outcome.
• Maintains all personnel security files and FCL documentation as required to support DSS requirements.
• Creates, executes, and monitors the office security policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with the Government requirements.
• Provides guidance and instruction to employees and / or contractors to ensure completion of required security paperwork and training.
• Establishes and maintains a working relationship with DSS in filing necessary clearance paperwork and reports.
• Maintains a working relationship with each contract’s security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances.
• Provides necessary follow up regarding clearance status to managers. Provides reports as required internally and externally.
• Investigate security incidents and violations, prepare reports of investigations, and make specific recommendations for corrective and preventative actions
• Responds to surveys and inspections / annual visits. Serves as point of contact to investigators. Conducts annual, initial, and ad-hoc briefings as needed.

Experience and Skills:

Required Skills:

• Must hold an Active TS/SCI with Polygraph preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• CPP, ISP or other security related certification preferred
• Strong working knowledge of National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) and ICD 705
• Expert knowledge of JPAS/DISS, NISS
• Strong Knowledge of Safeguarding Procedures
• Expert knowledge of SF-86, SF-312, DD-254, and other required forms.
• Strong working knowledge of Closed Areas/Secured Spaces
