Title: Resident Teacher (2024-25SY)

Salary: Starting Salary $42,029, commensurate with experience

Position Overview
This role is designed to build ones readiness to lead their own classroom. The Resident Teacher is paired with the teacher as a way to:
See exemplary instructional practice in action
Receive immediate and actionable feedback on their own practice
Provide structured release time so that the coach may leave the classroom to support others
The Resident Teacher will work closely with the assigned teacher to plan lessons, provide instruction, and to support the overall academic and social-emotional growth and development of the students. Throughout the year, the Resident Teacher will gradually assume increasing teaching responsibilities and will receive continuous feedback from their teacher with the end goal of transitioning into a Lead Teacher position the following school year.
All job responsibilities are in partnership with the assigned teacher.

Requirements (minimum)
Education: Associates Degree and willing to work towards a Bachelors
Qualifications
Physical demands: Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 50% walking, and 40% standing
