We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
About the Role & Team
The Lead Product Manager will be part of the Digital Guest Experience team that is passionate about Disney Photo Imaging. This team is responsible for digital and business product strategy, digital concept development, Photo Imaging experience concept development and defining/driving these initiatives in collaboration with our vital team members and partners. This position will work across various product lines, business units, and interdisciplinary leaders in such areas as technology, project management, operations, UX design, experience design, analytics, marketing and executive teams to bring products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Disney Photo Imaging. The ideal candidate will have both a deep understanding of product management with respect to mobile & web technology, native application development, backend services, development as well as the ability to own the design and development pipeline and team priorities across multiple teams/fields against a prioritized roadmap.
The Lead Product Manager needs knowledge of the core imaging business and platform, imaging products and experiences, and value drivers of large-scale sophisticated product lines/vertical and/or projects.
This is a hybrid role that's sits primarily in Orlando Florida within the Disney Experiences team, and will report to the Senior Manager, Product Management.
What You'll Do:
  • You will build positive relationships with and lead large and diverse groups of collaborators at multiple levels, from end users to executives, across the enterprise
  • You will be instrumental in helping define the product vision and strategy based on multiple inputs from cross-functional teams
  • The Lead Product Manager will provide partners with a consistent point of contact and accountability for their product and business needs
  • You will serve as business subject matter authority for partners on functional platform capabilities, product requirements and scope management
  • In this role you will use expertise to provide relevant and strategic solutions to support business goals
  • The Lead Product Manager will be accountable for setting and prioritizing urgencies for cross-functional teams while communicating ongoing statuses, addressing priority conflicts, and removing any blockers
  • Translates product concepts into user stories, epics, requirement documents, test cases and acceptance criteria as appropriate and owns their quality
  • In this role you will develop product go-to-market plans in partnership with Marketing and PA teams
  • Use critical thinking to get to the root of product issues, executive questions, etc. and is able to provide a strategic analysis and recommendation in a clear and concise manner
  • You will also ensure appropriate review and approval of crucial results with Disney Experiences teams, executive leaders and partners as appropriate
  • Proactively identifies and resolves (or call outs) blockers, issues and change in business strategic direction that could impair team's ability to meet strategic launch dates or impact scope/budget
  • Provides mentorship for timely, on-budget, on-strategy delivery of marketing- and operations-related projects
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • 7 years of professional experience with at least 3 years working in the online industry
  • Experience with technical, user and business issues in a fast-paced organization
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including an ability to communicate/influence at an executive level
  • Shown analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project reasons
  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action with a willingness to take personal initiative
  • Effectively provide overall leadership across multiple teams, while working collaboratively to delivery with quality on time
  • Prior front and back-end development experience a plus
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Info Systems, Software, Electrical Engineering or comparable field and 7 years of related work experience
  • Or Master's Degree in computer science, Info Systems, Software, Electrical Engineering or comparable field and 5 years of related work experience
