Disney Advertising is Hiring an Associate Manager, Local Brand Solutions Near New York, NY

About the Role & Team

Disney Advertising is responsible for advertising sales and integrated marketing for The Walt Disney Company’s entertainment and sports offerings through linear, digital, social, addressable and audio businesses. This includes ABC, ABC News, Disney Channels Worldwide, ESPN Networks, Freeform, Disney , Disney Digital, FX Networks, National Geographic Networks, Hulu, and its eight ABC-owned local stations. Disney Advertising works with media agencies and consumer brands to sell advertising via a “one-stop shop” approach across TV, digital and radio platforms representing all of the Disney brands. Disney Advertising Local is the business unit within the Disney Advertising portfolio comprising the sales and marketing arm for Disney-owned media across local markets. The team’s role is to drive revenue to the Disney-Owned ABC Television Stations’ powerful linear, digital, streaming and social platforms, Out of Home platforms, and Disney Streaming (including Hulu, Disney and Disney Media Networks Sites) geotargeted to local markets. Within Disney Advertising Local, Local Brand Solutions (LBS) is responsible for developing breakthrough integrated marketing campaigns across these properties to drive incremental revenue and results.

Disney Advertising’s Local Brand Solutions team is seeking a passionate, talented marketer who will join our dynamic team with focus on developing strategic integrated marketing campaigns leveraging ABC Owned Television (OTV) Station platforms as well as geotargeted Disney Streaming Solutions. The Associate Manager, Local Brand Solutions, will be responsible for hands-on development of creative forward-thinking ideas, fresh innovative proposals, activation/event production, and delivering flawless campaign execution of local and regional ownership opportunities across streaming, linear, digital, social, events and out of home platforms, with superior results, leading to renewals. An ability to understand audience and sales-driven marketing and inspire winning partnerships is key.

What You Will Do

  • Create and execute innovative integrated marketing programs that generate revenue and results, often under tight time frames with impeccable follow-through, clearly communicating all key details to internal and external partners

  • Liaise with ABC OTV Station key stakeholders to help develop and activate campaigns across Station platforms

  • Interface with Disney Advertising Local Sales team, providing regular updates for active campaigns

  • Ideate and clearly articulate concepts, creating and presenting compelling presentations and one-sheets that strategically deliver on client objectives, proofing all for accuracy

  • Drive campaign activation, including production logistics, schedules, budgets, invoices, and trafficking, tracking and reporting of campaign/creative, coordination of approvals, teaming with project collaborators to develop scripts, collecting footage/assets to achieve desired creative vision, and curating elements for recap

  • Collaborate with team members, account executives and management, clients, television stations, show stakeholders, legal, business affairs, production, planning and research teams, talent and outside partners to drive campaign success

  • Travel as needed for client meetings and on-site event/activation execution

  • Be solution-oriented and fluent in all aspects of promotion marketing across various channels, such as co-marketing with entertainment properties, community partners and third parties, co-branded content creation, digital and live events, addressable/social tactics, point of sale, and out of home

  • Stay up to date on key trends, pop culture, new social media platform features, emerging platforms, and marketing technology to ensure all campaigns are relevant and cutting-edge

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3 years of marketing and/or business development experience, preferably within Entertainment, Digital, or Social Marketing

  • Strong knowledge of integrated marketing methods, tactics, tools and strategies, with clear understanding of how to develop, plan and deliver results-driven multiplatform integrated marketing campaigns from start to finish

  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Photoshop & fluent in digital/social media

  • Experience working with marketing partners, vendors, agencies, and internal stakeholders

  • Strengths in problem solving and issue-resolution, ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven ecosystem, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, planning, and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously

  • A natural team player with the ability to collaborate with others for broader success, including colleagues in locations across the country

  • Operates successfully in a rapidly changing, ambiguous and undefined environment

The hiring range for this position in New York is $86,400 -$118,600 per year and $84,500 - $113,300 in Santa Monica, CA. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
