Position:

Discovery Cube of Orange County is seeking an experienced Custodian to join our Facilities team. Must be hard working with attention to detail, and have experience working in a janitorial position.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and stock bathrooms
• Maintain cleanliness of building and patio 
• Maintain cleanliness of exhibits, guest services floor, and back office areas
• Empty trashcans, vacuum carpets, etc.
• Set up and break down for events
• Troubleshoot exhibits and upcoming attractions
• Assist with general facilities maintenance as needed 
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of janitorial experience, preferably in a museum, recreational, or hospitality setting 
• Full availability required, including weekends 
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge (email)
• Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Proven self-starter with minimal management
• Able to lift, push, or pull up to 25lbs. for short periods of time
• Focus on safety
• Must be comfortable with change and a dynamic work environment with both low and peak seasons
