Compensation Range: $110,240 - 124,800 per year

Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience.

Job Description

The Director of Nursing supervises, heads, and coordinates nursing activities and nursing personnel in all Discovery Behavioral Health locations. Evaluates nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing operations to uphold established mission, vision, core values, and strategic plan. 
• Provides leadership and direction to nursing staff to assure that organizational standards and policies are maintained and followed.
• Must be knowledgeable in all policies, procedures, regulations, and laws both locally and nationally. 
• Ensures nursing program is executed in alignment with all Joint Commission standards. 
• Perform chart audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and laws both locally and nationally. 
• Train all nursing staff in regard to all protocols and procedures. 
• Oversees Infection Control Policies within the organization and ensures staff adherence to Infection Control Protocols. 
• Consult with doctors, therapist, and others when needed. 
• Perform MAR audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. 
• Assisting the administrator of the facility in developing and maintaining written objectives, policies and procedures related to nursing services, developing an organization plan, and developing a quality assurance program for nursing services, and reviewing all nursing policies and procedures, minimally, on an annual basis
• Some direct care may be required. 

This is a full-time position that will work Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm with on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state of Practice with at least one year in nursing supervision or nursing administration
• Must have a Bachelors of Nursing 
• Must have one year full-time experience with the management of addictions in a licensed substance use disorders treatment facility
• Two years experience with compliance and personnel management required 
• Experience with psychiatric care preferred
