Position Overview:

The Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the Dealership Business Office with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Payroll processing, and other accounting tasks related to the efficient operations of the dealership's business office. This position will also support payroll processing and payroll administrative tasks. In addition, they prepare transactions, verify their accuracy, and confirm appropriate documentation before submitting them to the designated lending institution.

Pay range is based on experience and qualifications: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

• You have 2 years of professional office Accounting experience and a strong knowledge of standard accounting practices.
• You are willing to learn and support all aspects of a dealership office with the ability to assist the accounting manager.
• You have excellent time management skills, and your organizational skills drive efficiency.
• You can manage competing priorities and stay positive under pressure to meet funding deadlines and billing cutoffs.
• You are a team player and hold yourself and your team members accountable in a supportive and collaborative approach.
• You are a strong communicator and can monitor communication channels to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
• You are detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
• You are motivated by learning new skills.
• You can utilize computers and technology efficiently.

Essential Functions:

• Payables, receivables, inventory control, and reconciliations
• Support with payroll processing and employee timecard follow up
• Assist the Title and Billing team.
• Assist in posting daily funding from banks and making adjusting entries as needed
• Maintaining/reconciling schedules for aftermarket vendors. Submit payments and make accounting entries.
• Ensure all retail vehicle sales have appropriate documentation according to company revenue recognition policies using the deal checklist
• Ensure that funding from lenders occurs on time

Qualifications/ Education/Practical Experience:

• 2 years of Automotive accounting experience with solid knowledge of Standard Accounting principles
• One year of formal Accounting related education/training
• Advanced skills in crucial Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and Dealertrack

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
• Authorized to work in the United States
