Warehouse Assistant Manager

Direct Mail Solutions is a full-service mail company located in Richmond, Virginia. DMS is seeking Warehouse Assistant Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• Assist managers in the motivation and guidance of warehouse employees to develop and maintain a teamwork environment.
• Provide primary and comprehensive organization of all inventories of materials and finished product utilizing computerized inventory module.
• Daily communication with management and staff in regard to shift transition, daily activities, and operational issues.
• Achieve production standards with expected quality on a daily basis.
• The ability to work flexible overtime as needed.
• Provide support in areas necessary to maximize productivity.
• Safe operation of material movement equipment : Forklift, Reach Truck, and Pallet Jack.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

• Supervisory / Management experience - a plus!
• Basic computer and communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Work independently and self-motivated.
• A Minimum of one year warehouse operations experience is required.
• Previous forklift and pallet-jack experience is a plus.
• Must have the ability to safely lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

This is full-time night shift position.

Core night shift hours are Monday - Thursday, (Fridays' mandatory if needed) 7 : 40pm - 6 : 10am.
