Direct Counsel is seeking California licensed litigation attorneys to join a top national firm in their Los Angeles office. The firm’s practice areas include General Liability Defense, Automotive, Construction, Product Liability, Premises Liability, and Tort. A successful candidate will enjoy learning all stages of trial preparation and trial from start to finish, as well as an opportunity to work with a seasoned team of experienced litigators.

Responsibilities:

· Defense litigation

· Trial preparation including strategy discussion, discovery, records review, client interview, and witness preparation

· Research into complex litigation areas

· Take and defend depositions

· Prepare and argue motions

Qualifications:

· 3-6 years of defense litigation experience

· Active California Bar license

· Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school

· Excellent analytical and critical reasoning skills

· Client-focused mentality

· Excellent writing and research skills

· Ability to think on feet and respond strategically

· Excellent communication and influencing skills

· Ability to work independently and within a strong team

Compensation:

Pay: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
