All Saints Academy seeks a dedicated and passionate Middle School English and Religion Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English language arts with a focus on literacy, writing, and critical thinking skills, as well as delivering engaging and meaningful lessons in Religion that align with Catholic teachings and values. This role involves fostering academic growth, spiritual development, and a love for learning among middle school students. (Religion teacher must be a practicing Catholic)Responsibilities: 1.
English Language Arts Instruction: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that align with middle school English language arts curriculum standards. - Teach reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary, grammar, and literary analysis through a variety of instructional strategies and resources. - Foster a classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature. - Provide meaningful feedback on student work, assess progress through formative and summative assessments, and maintain accurate records of student achievement.2.
Religion Instruction (Religion teacher must be a practicing Catholic): - Plan and deliver Religion lessons rooted in Catholic teachings, traditions, and values, catering to the spiritual development of middle school students. - Teach Scripture, Catholic doctrine, moral principles, sacraments, and prayer practices, integrating faith into daily life and learning experiences. - Facilitate discussions, reflections, and activities that encourage students to deepen their understanding of Catholic beliefs and apply them to their lives. - Collaborate with the schools religious education team, clergy, and parish community to enrich religious instruction and foster spiritual growth opportunities.
