Saint Louis Catholic School in Alexandria, VA is seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Registrar. The primary job responsibilities of the school registrar are to proactively work with school and parish faculty and staff to develop, market and manage all aspects of the enrollment process. As the first contact for prospective families, the registrar must enthusiastically recruit and welcome new members of the school community. Duties include working with prospective families by reviewing applications, providing tours, setting up Open Houses, and evaluating applicants’ academic records. Once accepted, the registrar welcomes families to the school community by hosting social events and developing communication that provides important information about preparing for the first day of school.
The registrar coordinates administrative tasks with the Assistant to the Principal and parish Business Manager related to re-enrollment of current students, enrollment of new students, tuition assistance applications and the FACTS tuition payments system. Provides up-to-date information related to admissions for the school website.
Ideal candidates must have a Bachelor degree, and previous work experience as Registrar preferred; strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additional background in marketing and communication is a plus.
The registrar must be passionate and committed to Catholic education.
