Dimensions Dance Center is Hiring a Director of First Impressions/Receptionist Near Abingdon, MD

The DOFI is responsible for being an ambassador of the studio and should embody the culture of the studio so that each student and family that enter the studio will feel a part of the dance family. The person should communicate effectively, understand and portray the important messaging that the studio owner wants everyone to know.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • To conduct yourself in a professional manner and be able to work with coworkers and the studio owner and we can depend on your work
  • Clock in and out each day
  • Daily interactions with dancers and their families
  • Answering phones
  • Answering emails
  • Drafting and sending emails
  • Keeping lobby and common areas neat and clean
  • Daily studio checks ( lost and found items) and closing duties
  • CC pertinent staff on emails
  • Registering new students
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere for all
  • To maintain a safe environment for all
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Ability to manage your time well
  • To drive new students to the studio
  • Maintaining connections with teachers and Director to be on one accord
  • Maintain monthly minutes for our staff meetings and action steps

Key Priorities

  • Learn dancers names and parents name that belong to each other
  • Prioritize in person communication over phone and other admin work
  • Make every person that walks through the door feel welcomed by smiling and saying hi
  • Sending birthday cards/emails monthly
  • Sending home Dance of the Month sign and keeping the program together
  • Completing designated steps of our 11 step enrollment process
  • Handling last minute substitute teachers and class management

Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong customer service background with proven experience in handling customer inquiries and issues
- Previous administrative experience, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in data entry and comfortable with using multi-line phone systems
- Prior experience in front desk operations and office management
- Familiarity with calendar management and scheduling
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and experience in clerical tasks such as filing and proofreading
- Ability to coordinate projects and events effectively
- Previous experience in a medical office setting would be an advantage
- Transcription skills and experience in customer support are desirable traits for this role

  • Dance Studio pro software: 1 year (Preferred)
