Reporting to the Director of Project Management this role is responsible for the planning, management, communication, coordination and financial control of projects. The Project Manager II builds and monitors work plans, the project budget, and develops the detailed schedule in conjunction with other project leaders across appropriate internal departments. This is a vital role in helping ensure that client satisfaction is achieved, communication is effective among both internal and external teams, data is maintained in appropriate systems and project financial goals are met. While the PM II role has no direct staff reports, this role has project-based leadership accountabilities and responsibilities.
The aptitude of the Project Manager II role is of proficiency; ensuring every aspect of a project is well-organized, runs smoothly and remains aligned with overall client/ stakeholder/ company objectives including project schedule and budget. The PM II proactively manages project schedules and is a hub for all scheduling updates as well as a solution driver for unforeseen project challenges. The PM II role necessitates a proactive, resourceful and solutions focused attitude/ approach. Proficiency in leadership, team motivation and negotiation skills are all pertinent to career development.
