The Principal Embedded Software Engineer develops software and firmware source code in C/C , Embedded C, and other languages following specified design, operational and cost constraints. Works on sophisticated, challenging technology projects needing cutting edge technical or commercial expertise.  

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering. Master’s degree a plus.
• 10 years of experience with high volume products with long term reliability
• Microprocessor, digital, analog, software design and troubleshooting experience
• Utilizes version control, simulation, debugging, and other development tools.
• Solid programming experience with C language
• Experience with TCP/IP, Ethernet and data networks
• Wireless device experience indluding WiFi, Cellular and proprietary sub-GHz
• Familiar with common communication interfaces including SPI, I2C, USB, UART, ect.
• Well versed in Agile development process
• Expert defining product requirements into user stories and drafting acceptance criteria
• Champions developing novel solutions

• Designs, writes, maintains, tests, and debugs software that is modular, maintainable, and easy to understand.
• Learns and maintains existing software products.
• Uses debuggers, emulators and compilers/assemblers for software development.
• Analyzes functional requirements and translates to product design.
• Participate in formal code inspection process with various product lines.
