Job Title: Payroll Specialist (ADP Experience)
Office Location: West Sacramento, CA
Weekly Work Schedule: Full Time, Hybrid with 2 days in office a week, M-F
Pay Range: $27.00-$35.00/hour Depending on Experience
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist with extensive experience in using the ADP payroll processing system. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance, along with the ability to manage payroll-related tasks efficiently and accurately. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of employee salaries and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
-Utilize the ADP payroll system to process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
-Set up and maintain employee profiles, tax forms, and deductions within the ADP system.
-Process regular payroll runs, including salary, hourly wages, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation elements, for a multi-company, multi-state, semi-monthly payroll for 425 employees.
-Validate and audit payroll data for accuracy before processing.
-Prepare and submit payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual reports, as required by tax authorities.
-Administer employee deductions and benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary deductions.
-Generate reports and maintain records for auditing and reporting purposes.
-Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including paychecks, tax forms, and other related issues.
-Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll processes, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
-Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies.
-Prepare various payroll reports, including earnings statements, payroll summaries, and cost allocation reports, as required by the company.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist with a focus on ADP payroll processing.
Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and labor laws.
Proficiency in using ADP payroll software and related applications.
Knowledge of HR and benefits administration is a plus.
Effective communication skills to address employee inquiries and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
High level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP - Certified Payroll Professional) are a plus.
