Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Scheduler to join our team. As a Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing diagnostic appointments for Cardiology regarding echocardiography, nuclear medicine, and lab testing. Your attention to detail and excellent organizational skills will ensure that our patients receive timely and efficient care.

Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments using our electronic scheduling system.
- Verify insurance pre-authorizations and collect co-pays.
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary instructions.
- Assist with rescheduling or canceling appointments as needed.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments and general information.
- Provide administrative support to the medical office as needed.

Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in scheduling appointments
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working in a dental office or emergency room setting is a plus

Educational and Experience Requirements:

-High school diploma or GED.

-Prior experience in the medical field preferred, especially Imaging Scheduling.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
