Dickinson Public Schools is now accepting applications for a Day Treatment Teacher/Coordinator. LOCATION: Dickinson Middle School QUALIFICATIONS: Must be licensed or be able to obtain the North Dakota Educator's Certificate. Must have a background in Special Education or a Special Education Credential. DUTIES: The Day Treatment Teacher/Coordinator works closely with DMS Administration and the DMS RTI Committee to implement behavioral and academic interventions for students and families. This person must have strong social & communication skills. The applicant should have a teaching certificate along with background or licensure in Special Education. Knowledge of Special Education, RTI, PLC, and Middle School Teaming are essential. Examples of daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
Communicating with teaching staff on student goals
Working closely with the Day Treatment Social Worker on supporting families
Pre-teaching and re teaching academic skills
Teaching social skills to students
Working closely with the RTI committee on student placement within DMS Skills course
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 185 day contract starting Fall 2024 SALARY: Determined off the 2023-2025 Professional Negotiated Agreement. The current salary range for a185 day contract is $48,500 - $68-625 depending on education and experience. BENEFITS: Eligible for all benefits. Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
