Bilingual Orthodontic Assistant English/Spanish or English/Portuguese

Orthodontic Assistants are a vital part of our practice.

We are looking to hire a full time Orthodontic Assistant for our Orlando, FL office. Must be bilingual either in English/Spanish or in English/Portuguese and preferably certified in the state of Florida.

Responsibilities:

• Assist orthodontist chair side
• Take orthodontic records (photos, intraoral scan for study models, and radiographs)
• Perform orthodontic remediable delegable tasks to dental assistant as defined by Florida law and Board of Dentistry (select and pre-size orthodontic bands and wires, assist the orthodontist in bonding procedures, take impressions for orthodontic retainers, give oral hygiene instructions, etc.)
• Sterilize and disinfect orthodontic instruments, materials, and work area in general.

Qualifications:

• Two years experience in dental field preferred
• One year experience in orthodontic assisting preferred
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certification
• Radiology Certification
• Knowledge of infection control, OSHA, and HIPPA preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Portuguese - required

Salary:

• $17 - $21 per hour, based on experience, Monday - Thursday 8:15am -5:00pm and one Friday per month
