Diaz Anselmo & Associates is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with civil litigation experience, handling plaintiff-side foreclosure cases in our Plantation, Florida office.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide attorney support with drafting and filing pleadings, affidavits, notices and motions.
• Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses.
• Calendar Court deadlines and maintain attorney calendars.
• Prepare foreclosure judgment packages and hearing packages pursuant to Judge and County requirements.
• Update client systems (LPS, TEMPO, VENDORSCAPE, SERENGETI) and the firm case management system with status updates and hearing results, as required.
• Responsible for providing monthly status reports for clients.
• Communicate with opposing parties, Judge’s Assistants and clients
• Liaise between internal/external third parties

REQUIREMENTS: Litigation Paralegals must posses a strong understanding of foreclosure laws and procedures, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They work closely with attorneys to support them throughout the foreclosure process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 3 years’ experience with Foreclosure Litigation. Paralegal Certification preferred

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to work under pressure and ability to make decisions according to established guidelines; work unsupervised and to accomplish tasks accurately and on a timely basis; prioritize work; strong organization skills. Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ability to identify the needs of customers through effective questions and listening techniques. Handles customers and associates and their queries in a positive, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable manner, remembering that the customers’ satisfaction is a primary focus.
