Responsibilities:

The Communication Specialist reports to the Communications Manager and will be responsible for providing creative guidance, strategy, and hands-on support in various aspects of our communications, marketing, and brand development initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive creative excellence, maintain brand consistency, and deliver compelling written and visual content that resonates with our target audiences.

Responsibilities: As the Communications Specialist, you may:

• Develop and execute comprehensive Communications strategies aligned with Diamond’s objectives, ensuring consistency and clarity in messaging across various channels.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to create engaging content, including newsletters, emails, presentations, social media and intranet updates, aimed at keeping internal and external audiences informed and engaged.
• Develop and deliver communication strategies to ensure all appropriate external and internal communications are consistent, updated, and timely.
• Serve as a communications advisor, providing guidance and support to various departments on their communications needs and strategies.
• Partner closely with leadership to craft key messages, talking points, and presentations for internal events, town halls, and executive communications.
• Maintain and manage Diamond Offshore’s internal communication platforms, ensuring they are up to date, user-friendly, and reflective of the company’s brand and values.
• Conduct regular assessments to measure effectiveness of internal communication strategies and adjust tactics as necessary to optimize engagement and understanding among employees.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new communication technologies to enhance communication effectiveness.
• Assist with crisis communication efforts, including drafting crisis response plans and coordinating communication during emergencies.
• Participate fully in all Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and safety programs.
• Follow Diamond Offshore Global Excellence Management System (GEMS).
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in communications, preferably within the energy sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong eye for detail and the ability to craft compelling messages.
• Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in the use of various communication tools, intranet platforms, and digital media channels.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong understanding of branding principles and design aesthetics.
• Familiarity with industry trends and emerging creative technologies.
• Proficiency with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
