A renowned medical organization is looking to immediately hire several Full-time/Part-time highly experienced, and compassionate Certified Medical assistants in Paramus, NJ. The CMA candidate must have at least 3 years of experience and Phlebotomy Certification. The organization offers $20-$25 per hour, plus hefty employment packages including paid time off (PTO), medical, and malpractice insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical duties such as rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical histories accurately and comprehensively,
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety,
• Perform phlebotomy procedures, collect blood specimens, and process samples for laboratory testing,
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials,
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate dosage and proper documentation,
• Conduct and document patient education on various women's health topics, including contraception, prenatal care, and preventive screenings,
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and insurance-related tasks,
• Maintain and update medical equipment and supplies, ensuring inventory levels are adequate for smooth clinical operations,
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care,
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and always maintain patient confidentiality, and
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in women's health.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required,
• Phlebotomy Certification is required,
• 3 years of experience working as a CMA in a clinical setting, preferably in women's health,
• Strong knowledge of women's health services, including gynecology, obstetrics, reproductive health, and family planning,
• Proficiency in performing phlebotomy procedures and handling blood specimens,
• Excellent clinical skills, including accurate documentation, vital signs measurement, and medical history-taking.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic medical records (EMR), and basic medical coding, and
• Willingness to collaborate as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Schedule

• Weekday plus some weekend
