DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT SERVICES Inc is Hiring a Lead Clinician Near Dallas, TX

The Lead Clinician is responsible for performing a wide variety of therapy and/or evaluation services and assist in the management functions of the company as directed by the Assistant Director of Clinical Services 

CORE JOB DUTIES include: 

Strategy and Planning: 

  1. Assists Director of Clinical Services with regularly monitoring therapy and/or assessments to ensure quality services are delivered, including Quality Control Checks of reports per company procedure -
  2. Effectively provides therapy and/or assessments in the field. 
  3. Effectively provides caseload management. 
  4. Effectively collaborates with HR to hire/train new or current staff of changes in operating standards (conduct/implementation). 
  5. Assist HR in onboarding training for new hires and returning staff.
  6. Assist HR in closeout procedures. 
  7. Conduct interviews for new hires.
  8. Assist in Mid-Year and End-Of-Year reviews.

Acquisition and Development

  1. Remain current with the latest legal updates and company policies by attending all mandatory trainings.

 Operational Management

  1. Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Clinical Services and the Director of Business Operations to discuss any critical issues, and report on the status of department. 

Clinical Expectations:

  1. Billable hours[1] - 70% (i.e., 20 hours)
  2. Administration hours[2] –30% (i.e., 20 hours)
  3. Autism Evaluation Example
    1. Billable (10 hours) - Team play based evaluation, debriefing of evaluation, cognitive, achievement, report writing
    2. Admin – Quality Control Check of report, meeting with clinician to review the report, peer consultation (e.g., LSSP and LSSP)

Onboarding:

  1. Training should occur within the first 3 business days of the first day of employment[3] 

Quality Control Guidelines: 

  1. New Employees: 
    1. A Quality Control Check should be conducted for the first 10 reports and ARD prep. A determination is made on whether additional training or support is needed after the first 10.
  2. All Employees
    1. A Quality Control Check should be conducted monthly (i.e., spot checks – 1 report chosen at random for each clinician)[4] 
  3. Quality Control Checks should only take up to 45 minutes per report. If necessary, schedule a feedback meeting to review observations. The clinician is responsible for making the changes and finalizing the report. 

Departmental Meetings:

  1. Minimum expectation: 2 times a month for an hour (Meeting Facilitator)
  2. The following should be addressed during the meetings:
    1. Pressing campus issues-
    2. Case load updates
    3. Positive feedback on experiences
    4. Opportunities for service expansion
    5. Company-wide changes, 
    6. Case consultation, and 
    7. Any additional pertinent information 
    8. Evidence Based Practice 
  3. Prepare an agenda for each meeting[5] 

Individual Supervision:

  1. If a clinician requires individual support (i.e., outside of weekly meetings) for more than 2 cases in a week, this should be brought to the attention of the Director of Clinical Services. The Lead Clinician and Director of Clinical Services will work together to formulate a plan to support the clinician (i.e., Performance Improvement Plan). 
  2. Allow clinicians to make the judgement call and follow up during the weekly meeting for additional support as needed.

Required Reporting:

  1. Be prepared to report out productivity rates at weekly EHP meetings. This should be uploaded to One Drive by 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Data will be reviewed in EHP meeting.

Data required for Mid-Year and End-of-Year Evaluations:

  1. Efficiency (amount of time to complete reports
    1. Lead will monitor WIP on a weekly basis and use the company standards for completion time of evaluations
  2. Timeliness and accuracy of Ebillity entries
    1. Friday & Monday

Identify Opportunities for Increasing Revenue:

  1. Director of Clinical Services and Director of Business Operations will finalize details with the campus representative and provide an addendum to the service agreement. 

Resource Planning: 

  1. New hire assignments should be planned/discussed with Assistant Director of Clinical Services This will be finalized by both directors (Clinical Director and Director of Business Operations. 

[1] Evaluations, Therapy, Consultation, ARD meetings (only one attending), Consultation, Folder Review

[2] Internal training, weekly leadership meetings, weekly departmental meetings, onboarding, supervision, running and reviewing reports, Quality Control Checks

[3] Department specific training should occur over a period of two days (up to 14 hours)

[4] The feedback from the Quality Control Checks will be considered during the mid-year and end of year evaluations

[5] The agenda will serve as documentation that pertinent issues/changes were addressed to the department
